Manatee shirt is all you probably need to wear down there.

Man you were right most days ... but when a cold front comes through and the the wind is blowing at 35 knots and the temp drops into the 50s... then even Laser sailors wear pants as well as a T-shirt.

so are there a lot of days that Laser sailors don't wear pants?

Tillerman said...

Wait. This post is about manatees. Have you ever seen a manatee wearing pants?

Baydog said...

Or a manwaring pantees?

I think manatees generally don't wear pants because they're too hard to take off over their shoes.

@my2fish:

Laser sailors never wore pants until they started sailing Lasers. It was that deck rash, don't ya know...?

I was attending a Laser training clinic in Florida last week. There was indeed a lot of discussion among the sailors about pants. Some sailors didn't have the right sort of pants and were checking out the other sailors' pants to decide which was best. I had good pants but they were falling down some times. The coach did suggest that sailing without pants would be good practice and that we would then be better sailors when we wore pants. There was also discussion among Laser sailors about the physical consequences of not wearing pants but I promise not to post any pictures of those consequences here.

I might, though, post more pictures if Floridian mailboxes. If I lived in Florida all the time I think I would start a whole new blog about Floridian mailboxes.

Yay for laser sailors. They don't tear up those manatees backs.

Quite right meech. I didn't see any manatees while sailing but I did see dolphins very close to my boat one day.

O Docker said...

Were they Miami dolphins?

They wear very tight pants.

I've been wondering if you just like that picture of the mailbox or if you posted this because manatee has three consonants and four vowels, and would make a good boat name.

Well spotted young O. I never noticed that.
